Liam is now in Kindergarten! They have full day public kindergarten starting at 2 1/2 in Belgium. That would sure be a nice savings for all of us working parents in the US!
Liam is actually in a private international school. It is run by the British and has 130 or so students from K-12. They come from over 30 countries! There are three levels of Kindergarten and his is in the first one. We debated putting him in a Flemish speaking school but in the end wanted to make one thing easy for all of us. We can speak to his teachers, the other parents, etc. Most are expats like us and they seem to also organize some social events.
We went for his orientation the the Friday before classes started. He did not want to leave. He even took the time to try out the dress up clothes!
We were without furniture the night before school, so he got ready in the hotel room. His first few days have gone really well. Little video of him getting picked up his first day included for your viewing pleasure (and by this I mean you mom).
