Everything they say about kids adapting easily is turning out to be true. The kids are just loving it. They still have no clue how far away we are or when we are going home, but little details like that are just not needed! They have adapted from suburb kids to city kids with no issue. For now riding the tram, finding a park, going to the market, and walking Keegan have replaced running around in the yard.
They completed their first week of daycare. We were lucky to get the same set up as we had in NJ. They are in a woman's home with a few other children. She can speak English. The other children will most likely learn English one day, but for now they only speak Dutch. They have loved every day and are happy to go in the morning. My suspicion that Liam might be one of the loudest children in Belgium was confirmed. One day one our daycare provider, Marina, said with a smile "Liam is really loud". There go any hopes of the Roartys helping to squash the "Loud American" stereotype!
