Mom and her princess :)
Our weekends are literally a blank slate. We make some big plans, like Madrid and Amsterdam, and then we also take lots of day trips. The day trips really vary and can be just as fun than the big trips. As you can imagine, they are also geared to the kids, so if you happen to be reading a blog by a single person in Belgium - I am sure you will not see the same sites!
Case in point - we spent one afternoon in search of a giant rubber duck that was in the town of Hasselt's canal. That town was having an event that day, unrelated to the duck that was visiting them for the month. You can see Liam enjoying the organ grinder below.

The organ grinder has to be 90+
We spent another day in Brussels visiting the "Atomium". It was built for the World's Fair in 1958 and is pretty impressive. It is a model of an atom magnified 165 billion times. Great views of the city.
Also in Brussels is Mini Europe. It has 300 miniature reconstructions of buildings in the European Union. Very realistic and a nice overview of places to visit in Europe.

Just in case we do not get to see the Berlin wall, we got a little taste.
Video is of Brenna Rocking out to the Latvian National Anthem. She is so multi-cultural :).
